Short answer: yes, and size is more often an advantage than a problem.
Body to body massage for tall or heavy guests raises a reasonable worry. The therapist uses her own weight, you are larger than she is, so does the pressure simply vanish into you? It does not, and the reasons are worth knowing, because they also explain the handful of adjustments that make the hour better.
Why a bigger body takes broad weight well
Pressure in full contact is weight divided by area. What you feel is how much of her mass rests on a given patch of you, and that does not change because there is more of you underneath. A forearm carrying a third of her body weight feels the same on a large back as on a small one. The large back simply gives the forearm further to travel.
That extra distance is the advantage. In a hand massage, a broad frame means more ground for small tools to cover, and an hour spreads thin. In full contact the tools are big enough for the territory. One pass still reaches both flanks. The torso still spans the width of the back.
Muscular guests in particular often find this is the first massage that feels in proportion. Hands can only bargain with a thick shoulder. Broad weight settles into it.
Body to body massage for tall or heavy guests: the bed
This is where most of the adjustments happen.
Length. Above roughly 190 centimetres, your feet will probably hang past the end of a standard bed when you lie face down. That is fine, even useful: ankles over the edge keep the feet relaxed without a rolled towel. Lying diagonally across a wide bed is the alternative, and it hands the therapist a longer runway for leg passes.
Firmness. A heavier body sinks further into a soft mattress, which lets the hips drop and the lower back arch. A folded towel under the hips corrects it. Body to body massage at your hotel goes into mattresses, bed widths and the diagonal in more detail.
Sturdiness. Two adults on one bed is routine for a hotel mattress. Some sofa beds and older apartment frames object. If the frame creaks alarmingly when you sit on the edge, say so, and more of the work can be given from the side.
Lying face down
For heavier guests the prone position is the one most likely to be uncomfortable, mainly because of breathing. A pillow placed under the chest, rather than under the face, lifts the ribcage a little and frees the belly. Arms resting by your sides, not folded under your forehead, keep the shoulders from rolling forward.
If lying face down for long does not suit you at all, mention it. Side-lying works well for broad contact along the back and the outer leg, and the session can move from one side to the other instead of making the usual single turn.
The turn
On an oiled surface, a large body rolling over needs a moment. The therapist steadies the towel and waits. Nobody is timing it.
If turning is awkward, there is no need to do it in one movement. Roll onto a side first, pause, then complete it. The towels underneath are there to take the oil, so the sheet stays clean whatever route you take. Some guests prefer to sit up, swing round and lie back down the other way, and that works perfectly well too.
Choosing the therapist
Heights on the roster fall between 164 and 173 centimetres, so every therapist works with a broadly similar instrument. What varies more is style: some favour long passes that suit a tall frame, others favour slower, heavier settling that suits a muscular one. Give your height and build in the booking message and a sensible match is suggested.
For very large frames, two therapists answer the coverage question outright. What four hands change explains how a pair divides the work, and at EUR 360 an hour it is the natural booking for anyone who has always felt that one person could not reach everything.
Oil and time
More skin takes more oil, and hair on the back or chest adds a little more again. It is warmed and laid down in stages, and the guide to weight and glide explains why the quantity keeps shifting through the session.
Time behaves the same way. An hour covers a large frame once. Ninety minutes lets the long passes repeat, which is where broad weight truly lands, so for anyone above average size it is the better length to start with.
What you need not worry about
Remarks. Nobody comments on size, shape or hair, before, during or after. Therapists work on every kind of body, and the only thing they are looking for is where you hold tension.
Nor does the price move. It is EUR 180 an hour and EUR 270 for ninety minutes, whatever the hour of the day, paid to the therapist when she arrives, by whichever of cash, card or crypto suits you.
