Three good moments in a birthday
Birthdays in this city tend to follow a shape: a late breakfast, a museum or a boat along the canals, a long dinner, drinks somewhere afterwards. A session fits that shape in three places, and each gives a different kind of present. The first is early evening, between the afternoon and dinner, when ninety minutes send you out to the restaurant loose, warm and in no hurry. The second is after dinner, once the meal has settled, when the massage becomes the final course and ends in sleep. The third is the following afternoon, when a body that danced or walked late into the night is ready for slow, heavy contact more than at any other point of the celebration. Each works. The right one is simply the one that matches how the day is meant to feel.
