How long is a body to body massage? Every length from one hour to a full night

Length decides more about this technique than almost any other choice, because weight-led contact builds slowly. Here is what each booking length contains, who it suits and what it costs, so you can choose the time before you write.

How long is a body to body massage meant to be? The shortest booking at this house is one hour, and the longest is an overnight of eight hours. Between them sit ninety minutes, two hours and three hours, with any further hour added at the same rate. There is no half-hour session, and the reason for that says a lot about how the technique works.

Body to body massage relies on weight arriving gradually. The skin has to be warmed and oiled by hand first, the therapist has to learn where you hold tension, and the broad contact that follows has to settle before it can deepen. That sequence takes time no matter how skilled the therapist is. Squeezed below an hour, it collapses into a hurried hand massage with a few heavy passes at the end, which satisfies nobody.

One hour: complete, but brisk

Sixty minutes costs €180 with one therapist. It contains every stage of the session: about ten minutes of hand work, the forearms, the broad contact on the back and legs, the turn and a shorter closing. Nothing is skipped. What is lost is space. Each stage moves on slightly before it has fully settled, and the front of the body receives less time than the back.

An hour suits people who already know the technique and want a familiar session on a busy evening, and people who are very short of time between a dinner and an early flight. It is also a sensible choice for anyone uncertain whether they will enjoy weight-led contact at all. Clients who book an hour for a first session often find themselves wishing, around minute fifty, that they had booked longer. Our journal note on whether an hour is enough weighs that question in more detail.

Ninety minutes: the length most people settle on

Ninety minutes costs €270 with one therapist. The extra half hour is not spread evenly. Most of it goes into the middle of the session, where broad contact has time to repeat and deepen, and a smaller part goes to a slower opening and a longer turn. The result is a session that feels unhurried from beginning to end.

First-timers do well with ninety minutes, because the gentle start can last as long as they need without eating into the rest. Returning clients tend to settle here too. If you are unsure which length to book, this is the one to choose.

Ninety minutes also sits comfortably inside an evening. Booked for ten, it ends before midnight with time left for a shower and sleep, which matters to visitors with a morning meeting or a train to catch. With two therapists for one client it comes to €540 on that row.

Two hours: room for everything, twice

Two hours cost €360 with one therapist. At this length the sequence can run through the back and legs, turn, work the front, and then return to the back for a second, slower round. Areas that carry a lot of tension, such as shoulders after a long flight or hips after days of sitting, can be revisited rather than passed over.

Two hours suit people who carry tension in several places, those who want to sleep straight afterwards, and anyone who found ninety minutes over too soon. It is also the natural length for four hands with one client, where two therapists work at once; on the single client, two therapists row, two hours cost €720.

How long is a body to body massage at three hours and beyond?

Three hours cost €540 with one therapist, and every hour after that is added at €180. Three hours is no longer a session so much as an evening. The pace is slower still, pauses become part of the rhythm, and there is time for a shower in the middle or a break for water before the work continues.

Any booking of three hours or more sends half the fee ahead, whoever books it and however soon it starts. The same rule applies to overnights and two-therapist sessions of any length. With two therapists, three hours on the single client row come to €1,080.

Overnight: eight hours

An overnight covers eight hours and costs €1,250 with one therapist, €2,880 with two therapists for one client. It is not eight hours of continuous massage. It usually contains a full session in the evening, time to rest and sleep, and a second, shorter session in the morning before she leaves. It suits travellers who want the evening and the next morning to feel like one unhurried stretch. An overnight always requires a deposit of half the fee, sent ahead by card, Revolut, Wise or crypto.

Couples: the same lengths on different rows

A couple can book any of these lengths, but the rate depends on how many therapists come. A couple with one therapist pays €360 for an hour, €540 for ninety minutes, €720 for two hours, €1,080 for three and €2,500 for an overnight. A couple with two therapists pays €720, €1,080, €1,440, €2,160 and €5,760 for the same lengths. A couple sharing one therapist usually books longer than a single client would, since one person is looking after two. The four-hand page explains how two therapists work in one room.

How the time is counted

The booked length is the length of the massage itself, and the few practical minutes at the door sit around it. At the end she does not rush to leave the moment the clock is reached, and she does not quietly stretch the session either.

If you want to extend once the session has begun, ask. When her next booking allows it, extra time is added at the hourly figure of the row you booked and settled then and there. Extending into three hours or more does not change the fee structure; it simply adds hours.

Why the middle of the session grows first

It helps to picture a session as three parts: an opening of hand work, a long middle of broad contact, and a closing that returns to the hands. When a booking gets longer, the opening and closing grow only a little. They have jobs to do, warming the skin and bringing you back up, and those jobs do not take much longer at two hours than at one. The middle is what expands.

That is why the difference between an hour and ninety minutes feels larger than the numbers suggest. Thirty extra minutes added to a middle of about forty makes it nearly twice as long. Broad contact that had to move on after one pass can now rest, repeat and deepen. At two hours the middle can be divided into a back round and a front round with a second back round after it, and at three hours pauses become part of the structure instead of an interruption.

The same logic explains why nobody gains much by booking an hour and asking for the opening to be skipped. Without the hand work, the oil is uneven and the therapist has not yet learned where you hold tension, so the first broad passes are guesses. The minutes saved are lost again in the adjustments that follow.

Choosing by situation

Arrived this afternoon, tired from travel, dinner at nine: ninety minutes at ten or eleven, then sleep. A short evening between a conference and an early train home: one hour. A free evening with nothing planned afterwards: two hours. A first try of the technique: ninety minutes, oiled, one therapist. A couple on a long weekend: two hours, with one therapist or one each. A long night in a quiet apartment: overnight.

Weight-led contact is felt more clearly when you are not full, so leave an hour after a heavy meal whatever the length. Late bookings cost the same as early ones; there is no surcharge after midnight or at the weekend.

Deposits by length

Length is one of the things that decides whether half the fee goes ahead. Every session of three hours or more and every overnight carries a deposit. One and two-hour sessions carry one too if they are booked more than twenty-four hours ahead, if they involve two therapists, or if they are your first booking with the house. The only booking paid entirely on arrival is a same-day session of one or two hours for a client the house has looked after before. Deposits are sent by card, Revolut, Wise or crypto and are not refunded if the booking is cancelled. The full terms are on the cancellation policy page, and the rates for every length appear on each therapist's profile.

Booking the length you chose

Name the length in the first message, together with the time, the address and the form of contact. The WhatsApp or Telegram thread replies within about ten minutes with a therapist's name and the fee for that length. She arrives forty to sixty minutes later anywhere in central Amsterdam, and the remaining sum is settled as she comes in, in cash of any major currency, by card or in crypto. The house books clients aged twenty-one and over, with no exceptions for a short session.

After
the
essay.

What is the shortest body to body massage I can book?
One hour, at €180 with one therapist. There is no thirty-minute session, because weight-led contact needs time to warm the skin and build gradually, and a shorter booking would lose most of what makes the technique distinct.
Is ninety minutes worth the extra €90 over an hour?
For most people, yes. The extra half hour goes mainly into the middle of the session, where broad contact settles and deepens, and it lets a first-timer have a slow start without shortening anything else.
Can I extend a session on the night?
Yes, if the therapist's next booking allows. Extra time is charged at the hourly figure of the row you booked, €180 an hour for one therapist and one client, and paid on the spot.
Do the longer lengths always carry a deposit?
Any session of three hours or more, and every overnight, sends half the fee ahead by card, Revolut, Wise or crypto. Shorter sessions need one too when booked more than a day ahead, with two therapists, or as a first booking.
What does an overnight include?
Eight hours with the therapist, for €1,250 with one therapist or €2,880 with two for one client. It usually holds a full evening session, time to rest and sleep, and a shorter session in the morning.
How long should a couple book?
Two hours is a comfortable length for a couple: €720 with one therapist on the couple row, or €1,440 on the couple, two therapists row. A couple sharing one therapist often prefers the longer option of the two they are weighing.
