Paying for body to body massage in Amsterdam: the deposit, the balance and the currencies

Visitors ask about money more carefully than about anything else, and they are right to. This guide explains every payment step of a booking in the order it happens, in plain terms, for someone holding a foreign card and a wallet of mixed currencies.

Paying for body to body massage in Amsterdam happens in two parts on most bookings. Half of the fee is sent ahead to confirm the booking, and the other half is paid when the therapist arrives. On one kind of booking only, the whole fee is paid at the door. This guide sets out which booking is which, what each payment route involves, what happens to the money if plans change, and how to recognise a payment request that did not come from the house.

The figures themselves are simple. The house charges by length and by the number of therapists and clients, and nothing is added for the time of night, the day of the week or the district. Every rate is printed on each therapist profile.

The fee you are paying

With one therapist and one client: €180 for an hour, €270 for ninety minutes, €360 for two hours, €540 for three hours and €1,250 for an overnight of eight hours. Hours beyond three are €180 each.

With two therapists for one client: €360 an hour, €540 for ninety minutes, €720 for two hours, €1,080 for three and €2,880 overnight. A couple sharing one therapist pays €360 an hour, €720 for two hours and €2,500 overnight. A couple with two therapists pays €720 an hour, €1,440 for two hours and €5,760 overnight.

The confirmation message on WhatsApp or Telegram repeats the exact figure for your booking, so you never have to work it out yourself.

When half goes ahead

A deposit of half the fee confirms every booking in these situations: the first booking from a client new to the house, at any length; any booking made more than twenty-four hours before its start; every overnight; every booking with two therapists; every session of three hours or more; every booking at a Schiphol or airport hotel; every booking on a peak date, such as King's Day, Pride, ADE, Christmas, New Year or a large conference week; and every companion format.

That covers most bookings from visitors, since most visitors are writing for the first time. The one booking with no deposit is a same-day session of one or two hours for a client the house has already looked after. After a first booking has gone as arranged, the same client's next same-day hour or two is paid in full at the door.

How the deposit is sent

Deposits travel by four routes: card, Revolut, Wise or crypto. Bank transfer and PayPal are not accepted, and neither is cash, since cash can only arrive with the therapist. Visitors with a card from home usually use the card route; visitors who already use Revolut or Wise find those quicker. Crypto suits people who prefer it and is sent at the rate of the moment.

The payment details are given once, on the same WhatsApp or Telegram thread, after the booking has been accepted. The therapist does not set out until the deposit has cleared. The confirmation states the amount in writing.

Paying for body to body massage at the door

The balance, or the whole fee on a no-deposit booking, is paid once the therapist is inside the room and before the session starts. Three methods are accepted. Cash in any major currency, converted at the rate of the day, so euros are not essential if you have just arrived with pounds, dollars or Swiss francs. A card, handed over in the room. Or crypto, sent on the spot.

Paying at the start is deliberate. It means the money is settled before anyone lies down, and nothing practical interrupts the session or its ending.

A few details help. If paying cash in a currency other than euros, have a little more than the converted sum, since exact change in a foreign currency is rarely possible. If paying by card, check before the evening that your bank allows payments abroad at night, because some banks block unfamiliar transactions after dark. If paying by crypto, have the wallet open and funded before she arrives.

What is never added

No night supplement, weekend supplement or travel fee is charged anywhere in central Amsterdam. A booking at three in the morning costs what the same booking costs at eight in the evening. Hotel room charges have nothing to do with the fee: the booking is not billed to your room and does not appear on the hotel account. Extra time on the night, if the therapist's next booking allows it, is added at the hourly figure of your row and paid at the moment it is agreed.

Oil, gel, lather and fresh towels travel with the therapist and are covered by the fee, so there is nothing to buy from her and nothing to reimburse afterwards.

If you cancel

A deposit is not refunded when a client cancels. That is true a week ahead, a day ahead and an hour ahead alike; there is no scale of partial refunds. The reason is simple: once a booking is accepted, a therapist's time is blocked, other requests for that window are turned away, and for overnights or airport bookings transport is arranged. The deposit reflects that work.

If a booking accepted without a deposit is cancelled, the house asks for the same sum a deposit would have been, half the fee, as collateral before accepting another booking from that client. A session ended early at the client's request is not partly refunded either.

Serious circumstances beyond anyone's control, such as a government restriction or a serious illness, are treated differently: the amount paid becomes credit for a later booking, at the house's discretion, rather than cash.

If you need to move the booking

One move is allowed per booking. Ask on the thread more than twenty-four hours before the booked start and pick a new date within fourteen days; the deposit carries over to that date once. A second move, or a first move requested inside the last twenty-four hours, counts as a cancellation and the deposit is kept. The complete terms, including why a booking tied to one date and hour falls outside the usual withdrawal period, are on the cancellation policy page.

Keeping the figures straight on the night

Visitors who book more than once during a stay sometimes lose track of which payment belonged to which booking. The simplest habit is to keep the confirmation messages in the thread rather than deleting them. Each one states the length, the fee, the deposit already sent and the balance still due, so a glance before the knock tells you exactly what to have ready.

If you booked ninety minutes and decide at the door that you would rather have two hours, say so before paying. The balance is then recalculated on the spot: the deposit already sent stays as it is, and the new, larger balance is paid in the room. A change the other way, from a longer booking to a shorter one, does not reduce a deposit already sent, because that half was fixed by the booking as it was accepted.

Couples and friends paying for one booking together should decide beforehand who pays the balance, so the money is handed over once rather than assembled from two wallets at the door.

Recognising a false payment request

Because the house is contacted by message, it is worth knowing how its payment requests look, so that a copy is easy to spot. The house asks for money only after it has accepted a booking, only on the thread where you wrote, and only for half of the fee stated in the confirmation. It never asks for a deposit before accepting, never asks for a second deposit to "release" a therapist, and never sends payment details from a different number or account. A therapist at the door never asks for more than the balance written in the confirmation. If anything looks different from that, do not pay; write to the thread you originally used and ask.

False bookings

The same rules protect the therapists. Bookings made under false names, with fraudulent contact details, as pranks or with a deliberate plan not to be there are recorded, reported to the authorities where appropriate, and shared with other reputable houses in Amsterdam. For honest clients this changes nothing, but it explains why a first booking is always confirmed with a deposit.

A worked example

A visitor arrives on Thursday and writes at nine in the evening for ninety minutes at half past ten, oiled, one therapist, at a hotel near the canals. It is a first booking, so the confirmation states €270 with €135 ahead. The deposit goes by card on the thread. The therapist knocks at half past ten, and €135 is paid at the door in pound notes converted at the day's rate. On Saturday, the same visitor books the same length for the same evening: as a client the house now knows, booking for the same day, the whole €270 is paid at the door. The booking page shows the order of messages for both.

the
essay.

Do I have to pay a deposit for body to body massage?
On most bookings, yes: half of the fee, sent ahead by card, Revolut, Wise or crypto. The only booking paid entirely at the door is a same-day session of one or two hours for a client the house has looked after before.
Can I pay in a currency other than euros?
Yes, at the door. Cash in any major currency is accepted and converted at the rate of the day. The deposit itself is sent by card, Revolut, Wise or crypto.
What happens to my deposit if I call the booking off?
No. Deposits are not refunded on cancellation, however much notice is given. One move to a date within fourteen days is possible if requested more than twenty-four hours ahead, and the deposit then carries over.
Will the booking appear on my hotel bill?
No. The fee is paid directly to the house, half ahead where a deposit applies and the rest when the therapist arrives. The hotel account never sees it.
How do I know a payment request is genuine?
The house asks for a deposit only after accepting the booking, only on the thread you wrote to, and only for half the confirmed fee. A request before acceptance, from another account, or for any extra sum is not from the house.
Does a late or Sunday booking cost more?
No. The same rates apply at any hour on any day across central Amsterdam, with no travel fee. Only extra time agreed on the night adds to the fee.
