Body to Body Massage at Christmas in Amsterdam: Booking

Amsterdam at Christmas means cold canals, early dark and a quiet hotel room. How a body to body massage fits the holiday, with dates, deposits and warmth.

A body to body massage at Christmas in Amsterdam belongs to a particular kind of evening. It is dark by half past four, the canals are cold and lit, the Amsterdam Light Festival draws people onto boats, and the city grows quieter on the holiday itself as residents go home to their families. For visitors in a hotel room or a rented apartment, those evenings can feel long. A slow, warm, weight-led session suits them well.

This note, written well ahead so that plans can be made early, explains how the holiday affects booking.

Christmas is a peak date

The house treats Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and the days around them as peak dates. Every booking for those dates sends half of the fee ahead to confirm it, however short the notice, by card, Revolut, Wise or crypto. Many therapists spend part of the holiday with their own families, so the roster is smaller on some evenings while demand from visitors stays steady. Booking several days ahead is the sensible approach, especially if you want a particular therapist.

A booking can be moved once, to a date within fourteen days, if you ask more than twenty-four hours before its start, and the deposit carries over. A cancellation keeps the deposit. If winter weather or illness makes a booking impossible for reasons outside anyone's control, the amount becomes credit for a later date rather than cash, at the house's discretion.

Write with the date, time, length, form of contact and full address. The reply names a therapist and the deposit within about ten minutes. On the day, the therapist reaches central addresses at the booked time, or forty to sixty minutes after confirmation for a same-day request that the roster can still accept.

There is no holiday surcharge. A session on Christmas night costs what the same session costs on any Tuesday in March: €180 for an hour with one therapist, €270 for ninety minutes, €360 for two hours. Every figure, including the two-therapist and couple rows, is on the therapist profiles.

Warmth matters more in December

Winter is the season when room temperature makes the biggest difference to the session. Old canal-house apartments are draughty, and hotel rooms cool quickly once the heating cycles off at night. Turn the heating up an hour before the therapist arrives, not ten minutes before, so the walls and the bed have time to warm, not just the air. The room should feel slightly too warm while you are dressed.

Take a hot shower shortly before she arrives, to warm the skin through. Keep a dressing gown or a large towel close by for the moment you get up afterwards. The oil is warmed in the therapist's hands before it touches you, but on a cold evening you will still feel the difference a warm room makes. The preparation guide sets out every step.

Which evening, and which length

Christmas Eve and Christmas night are popular with visitors travelling alone, who find the holiday evenings in a hotel longer than any others. The days between Christmas and New Year suit couples and friends who have spent the day walking the city in the cold. After a day outside, ninety minutes is the comfortable choice; after a large holiday dinner, leave an hour or more before the session, since lying face down on a full stomach is uncomfortable.

Couples sharing one therapist pay €720 for two hours on the couple row, and couples with a therapist each pay €1,440 for two hours on the couple, two therapists row. An overnight with one therapist, eight hours for €1,250, is booked more often in the holiday weeks than at any other time of year, and like every overnight it sends half the fee ahead.

Cold, tired and far from home

Winter travel brings its own tensions: shoulders hunched against the wind, legs tired from walking on cobbles, and a body that has spent hours in cold air and then in overheated shops. Broad, slow weight is warming in a way hand massage is not, because a wide area of skin is covered at once for a long time. Many winter clients describe the session as the first time they felt warm all day.

Afterwards

Do not step straight out onto a cold balcony or into the street. Stay wrapped up for a while, drink something warm and non-alcoholic, and let the drowsiness turn into sleep. The aftercare guide has more on the hours that follow.

The rest of the fee is paid when she comes in, in cash of any major currency, by card or in crypto. Only guests aged twenty-one or over can book, holiday or not.
