Naked massage is massage given without clothing or draping; in body-to-body it is the practical norm, because oil and broad contact leave no useful place for fabric.
Naked massage describes the state of the room, not a movement of the hands. Conventional massage relies on draping: a towel or sheet covers every area not being worked and is folded back and forth as the massage progresses. Naked massage removes that system. Nothing is draped, so nothing needs rearranging.
Fabric and oil work against each other. A towel soaks up the film that broad contact depends on, snags against a forearm travelling past it, and ends the hour sodden. A wide working surface also crosses the lines a drape would sit along. For these reasons full-contact work is generally given undraped, and the menu lists naked massage as a technique of its own for clients who want that condition stated in plain words.
Towels still come. They go beneath the client, over the bed linen, and they serve again afterwards. Warmth is not optional: uncovered skin loses heat fast, and a chilled body tenses against any pressure. Shower before she arrives rather than after she has come in, so that the booked time begins when she does.
Some clients pause at the idea of being unclothed with someone they have just met. It is a common reaction, and it tends to fade quickly in a room where the therapist treats the situation as entirely ordinary. The journal on feeling self-conscious takes the subject up directly.
The technique has its own page at naked massage, and it costs what every other technique costs on the ladder.
